Scalzi Park - Woodside

Scalzi Park and River Walk: a Place of Magic From Bulls Head to Woodside, Washington Blvd runs parallel to the Mill River (due in part to moving the river to make way for Washington Blvd as a major north-south conduit).

The river walk along the bank at Scalzi Park has for many years been a wonderful place to get up close to nature without negatively impacting the environment. Further, the riverwalk is handicap accessible from Scalzi Park and neighborhood streets.

Adjacent Scalzi Park has everything from bocce and futbol (soccer) to skate boarding and hockey. Many languages are spoken here.

Sadly, the river bank habitat is now under severe pressure from invasive species and well-intentioned clear cutting.
