Stamford Downtown's 2011 A Grand Summer Night
More than 400 people gathered in Stamford Downtown on Wednesday, August 10 for A Grand Summer Night. The evening, hosted by the Friends of Stamford Downtown was created to provide the perfect opportunity to experience the delectable cuisine of Stamford Downtown. The 18th annual dinner was attended by more than 400 guests who met for a grand reception at the University of Connecticut which will featured sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and dessert from Acqua Panna/San Pellegrino, Black Bear Saloon, Bobby Valentine’s Sports Gallery Café, “Cheers,” DiMare Pastry Shop, K "Cheers," Kujaku Japanese Restaurant, Market Restaurant, Mitchell’s Fish Market, Morton’s The Steakhouse, SBC Restaurant & Brewery, Stamford Wine & Liquor and ZAZA Italian Gastrobar.
The event included asilent auction and raffle to benefit Art in Public Places, the annual outdoor sculpture exhibit in Stamford Downtown.
Immediately following the reception patrons dined at downtown restaurants of their choice.
Participating restaurants include Aria Restaurant, Bar Rosso, Barcelona Restaurant & Wine Bar, Butterfield 8 Restaurant & Lounge, The Capital Grille, Chez Jean Pierre, Columbus Park Trattoria, Emme of Capri, EOS Greek Cuisine, Ferrante, Market Restaurant, Mitchell's Fish Market, napa & co., Quattro Pazzi and Tappo.
