Grease playing at Kweskin Theatre in Stamford for the first time

Get out your leather jackets, pull on your bobby socks and take a trip to the fabulous fifties with the original rock ‘n roll musical, Grease, playing for the first time in The Kweskin Theatre, Stamford! This long-running musical smash opened on Broadway in 1972, just a few months before the Kweskin Theatre opened. Playing September 12 through October 12, several dates are already sold out.

Westport Country Playhouse and Westport Library Partner for Free-of-Charge Documentary Screening about Kenya’s Illicit Ivory Market
Westport Country Playhouse and The Westport Library are partnering to present a free-of-charge screening of the documentary, “When Lambs Become Lions,” directed by Jon Kasbe, about the illicit ivory market in Kenya, on Monday, September 16, 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the Library’s Komansky Room. The film is presented in conjunction with the Playhouse’s October production of “Mlima’s Tale,” a powerful, theatrical fable about a magnificent Kenyan elephant named Mlima hunted for his coveted ivory tusks.

Stepping Stones Museum for Children's Latin Dance Night Moves to a New Date - Fri. 6/28
Due to weather concerns, Stepping Stones Museum for Children is moving the outdoor portion of Latin Dance Night @ 303 in the Park to a new date, Friday, June 28 from 8:00 pm - midnight. But we’re not letting this news rain on our parade. Latin Dance Night’s indoor VIP reception is still on for Friday, June 21 from 7:00 – 9:30 pm. So, we’re still heating up the first night of summer with a spectacular, 21-and-older Latin dance party. Now, we’ll just get to have our fun on two consecutive Fridays as next week brings the outdoor component of the event.

Community leaders kick up their heels for local theatre
Not since Cain and Abel has there been a fraternal rivalry like the one at Curtain Call's Dancing with the Stars event, Saturday night, May 18. And though there was a casket onstage later in the evening, there was no bloodshed, and one brother came out on top when Chris Carozza of the Carozza Realty Group, bested his brother, Michael Carozza of Carozza Fitness, by winning the Judges’ Choice Award (male division). Chris’ professional partner was Iraida Volodina of Arthur Murray Greenwich.
