It was a night to remember at The Ridgefield Playhouse Valentine’s Day Gala
The Valentine’s Day Gala at The Ridgefield Playhouse was a date night to remember, including champagne, tasty desserts, and fantastic live music from Motown legends, The Commodores. Sponsored by Lori and John Berisford—with support from Adam
Broderick Salon & Spa, BMW of Ridgefield, and Craig’s Fine Jewelry—the evening began with mingling in the lobby, toasting the evening with prosecco from Chloe Wine Collection and enjoying treats from Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe, Elizabella’s Bake Shop, The Cake Box, and Whistle Stop Bakery. A live auction followed, as well as a raffle. Three winners were invited on stage to pick up their prizes: Mike Dagostino from Cheshire won a $750 gift certificate to Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, Cally Adl from New Canaan picked up an Honora pearl necklace from Craig’s Fine Jewelry, and Jay Cohen from Wilton won a “Night Out on the Town” courtesy of BMW of Ridgefield, including a chauffeur-driven BMW, dinner and tickets to a Ridgefield Playhouse show.

Legendary Band Chicago Headlines 8th Annual Spotlight Soirée Gala at The Palace Theatre
On Tuesday, March 14, The Palace Theatre in Stamford welcomes Chicago, one of the longest running and most successful pop/rock ‘n’ roll groups in history, for the nonprofit’s 8th Annual Spotlight Soirée Gala. The Spotlight Soirée is The Palace’s largest annual fundraiser, this year also marking the organization’s 90th Anniversary. Proceeds from the event will support The Palace Theatre and its education programs.

Westport Country Playhouse’s Family Festivities Series will present ArtsPower’s new musical about a puppy, “Biscuit,” based on the book by Alyssa Satin Capucilli with over 17 million copies in print, on Sunday, January 22, for two performances, at 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. The show is recommended for ages 4 to 8. Running time is approximately one hour. Tickets are $20.

A Special Tribute and Performance to Celebrate Ridgefield’s 21st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Ridgefield January 16th, 2017 at 3pm
On Monday January 16th The Town of Ridgefield will present the 21st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration with a special performance by Broadway’s Daniel Levine and Bryan Perri and the annual Spirit of Dr. King award going to Daniela Sikora of the Serendipity Chorale. This year’s ceremony will also include a special posthumous award presented to the family of Tom Belote. This event, which begins at 3pm at The Ridgefield Playhouse is free to the community and will also feature performances by The Ridgefield Chorale, Deborah Katchko-Gray, Kimberly Wilson and student from Keys, anon-profit organization that brings music education to underserved inner city children. The event, which was started 21 years ago by Ridgefield resident Mark Robinson and First Selectman Rudy Marconi has grown tremendously over the years. “We went from doing this in the basement of Town hall and having a handful of people show up to being able to do this at The Ridgefield Playhouse and have approximately 250 people show up last year,” said Mr. Robinson, “what an amazing feat.”

Light-hearted prison comedy kicks off new year at Curtain Call
Stella Wild, MBA, Rosemary Adams, JD/MBA, Linda Robertson, M.D.,Ph.D., and Beth Ziegler, MBA, have some things in common. Besides being educated, successful, professional women, they also share the same address: - they reside at the Delaware Valley (DelVal) Federal Correctional Facility, a low-level security prison for white and "pink" collar criminals. Auditions for The Who's Tommy at Curtain Call begin 10/30

Retired Stamford Firefighter Putting out different kinds of fires for Community
Putting out fires for 32 years is what Stamford resident, Tom Hadden did for his community. (His father had done the same for many years as well.) And now, in retirement, Tom continues to put out fires of a different kind while volunteering for the area's busiest nonprofit theatre organization - Curtain Call. On Sunday, October 23, Hadden was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year by the organization. With a crowd of early 100 in attendance, Hadden was noticeably moved and incredibly humbled by this recognition.

Even so, when Curtain Call's executive director and artistic head decided to produce David Mamet's testosterone-driven classic, Glengarry Glenn Ross with all females, he knew heads would turn and tongues would wag.
