The Watermark Summertime Movie Night Series
From July 16 through August 27, the Bridgeport Area Cultural Italian Organization (BACIO) will show Italian themed movies every Friday night at dusk at The Watermark at 3030 Park. Residents of the greater Bridgeport area are invited to enjoy award-winning, family-style movies that celebrate Italian life and heritage.
“Movie Nights on the Great Lawn” will kick off with the 1955 film Summertime featuring Katherine Hepburn and Rossano Brazzi. Shot in Venice, Summertime tells the story of an American woman who finds love while vacationing in Italy.
“Guests of the series will have the opportunity to spend summer evenings watching great films and learning about Italian culture,” said Stacy Carleton, Community Life Director at The Watermark at 3030 Park. “We are thrilled to have partnered with BACIO to offer this summertime treat to our residents and neighbors.”
Other films in the series will include Roman Holiday with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn; Rome Adventure with Troy Donahue, Angie Dickenson and Rossano Brazzi; It Started in Naples with Clark Gable, Sophia Loren and Vittorio DeSica; Three Coins in the Fountain with Clifton Webb, Dorothy McGuire and Jean Peters; Bread and Tulips with Licia Maglietti and Bruno Ganz; and Letters to Juliet with Amand Sigfried and Marcia DeBonis.
“Movie Nights on the Great Lawn” is free of charge and open to the public. Parking is available and lawn chairs or blankets are encouraged. In the event of inclement weather, movies will be shown indoors. For more information, please call The Watermark at 3030 Park at 203-374-5611 or visit www.bacioinfo.com.
