5th Annual Juried Fine Art Photography Show
UConn Stamford is pleased to announce its 5th Annual Juried Fine Art Photography Show and Sale, to be held from December 13th, 2012 to January 25th, 2013 in the Art Gallery. The Gallery invites amateur and professional photographers to submit up to four works across several categories. There is an entry fee and jury prizes are awarded.
The Artist’s Reception, open to the public, will be Saturday, December 15th from 2-4 PM.
The University sponsors the Artist’s Reception, at which prizewinners will be announced. Last year’s winners included several Fairfield County residents. “This is one of our favorite exhibits, as it showcases the work of local talent and really brings the community into the University Gallery,” says Kerrie Mills, Art Gallery Board member.
Framed art works, entry forms, and fees must be received between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, on either Friday or Saturday December 7th or 8th. Late entries are accepted on a space-available basis only. All art works must be delivered to the UConn Stamford Art Gallery on Friday or Saturday December 7th or 8th between 11AM and 2PM. Alternative delivery arrangements may be made in advance at the discretion and convenience of the Gallery. Contact Irem Khan to request a schedule accommodation. Art pieces must remain on display for the entire show. The show closes January 25, 2013 and works can be picked up on January 25 or 26 between the hours of 11AM – 2PM . The Gallery’s website has additional details and entry forms.
The Gallery is open Monday through Thursday 9 am to 7 pm, Friday 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm. The Gallery is closed on Sundays and has limited holiday season hours.
