Stamford, CT - The Stamford Jewish Community Center gallery proudly presents “RENEWAL” : A solo art exhibit by internationally collected, Israeli-raised, Stamford based artist, Liron Sissman. This exhibit depicts landscape paintings inspired by the Hudson Valley under changing lights. The exhibition is from May 1 through June 29, 2019 at the Gallery @ the J at the Stamford JCC, 1035 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905. Wine & Art, an artist reception will take place on Wednesday, May 8 at 6pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Liron’s landscapes like her flowers are not merely intended to reflect nature but rather to project an inner reflection, a metaphorical journey. Her paintings transport viewers by engaging the senses, uplifting the spirit and bringing the transformational power of nature indoors. They are collected by organizations nationwide and by individuals on three continents. Ms. Sissman’s says, “I admire the intensity of emotions found in the works of the Expressionists. Like them, I too mix my soul with my paints. However, I strive to be subtle in my expressions."
Liron Sissman’s paintings have won multiple awards and are written about extensively. Her art is featured in Something Borrowed, a Warner Bros. film starring Kate Hudson. It was also the subject of a 40-minute TV interview (The Monday Night Live, PKRG-TV). Her painting Late Summer Sail was recently selected by Ambassador Juster for his official residence in New Delhi as part of the prestigious Art in Embassies program curated and funded by the US State Department. Liron Sissman is an elected Fellow of The American Artists Professional League.
