Hu Lindsay, the president of Rowayton Arts Center, announces the launch of RAC’s new web site (, which was designed by Snyder Group, Inc. and a new logo by RAC board member Andrea Letters and Snyder Group.

“As RAC enters its 52nd year, we hope the new web site will help introduce the Arts Center to additional audiences throughout Fairfield County and beyond. It also highlights our many activities and keeps our 400-plus members up-to-date,” Lindsay says.

He continues, “We cannot move forward, however, without expressing our gratitude to Pamela Proctor for her talent and generosity in designing RAC’s original web site and maintaining it since its inception 11 years ago. She helped usher RAC into the internet era.”

Features on the new web site include the ability to download the prospectus for each exhibition, details about special events and information on individual classes/workshops in the RAC Art School. On-line registration and payment for classes/workshops also is available as is the ability to make donations.

The site spotlights high-quality artwork by RAC exhibiting artists, including the award-winning best in show and first place art for each exhibit during the previous 12 months. All exhibiting artist members are listed and links to individual artist web sites are available for those who wish.

Lindsay says that a RAC committee spent several months researching other web sites for ideas and interviewing six design firms before selecting the Snyder Group, “who worked closely with us to create a fresh look for RAC’s web site and to ensure that it is visually stimulating, informative, user-friendly and easy to navigate for members and visitors alike.”

Snyder Group is a creative marketing and brand services firm based in Norwalk, CT, serving international, national and regional clients. Founded in 1997, the firm has a successful track record of delivering highly creative work through sound strategic marketing platforms.

Since 1960, the Rowayton Arts Center has been a community cultural hub that provides a welcoming environment for regional artists to exhibit and sell their work, exchange arts-related ideas, exhibit and to participate in classes and workshops for creative people of all ages and at all levels. The RAC Gallery and Art School are located at 145 Rowayton Avenue on the scenic banks of the Five Mile River. Admission to the RAC Gallery is free. Winter hours at the Arts Center are from 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday (closed Sunday and Monday). For information visit or call 203-866-2744.
