Grazyna Maciejewska, an assistant manager for First County Bank’s New Canaan branch, was recently promoted to branch manager of the bank’s Springdale location at 1110 Hope St. in Stamford. A native of Poland, Maciejewska joined First County Bank as a customer service representative in 2004 working at the Summer Street location.
“When Grazyna first joined the company, I could tell she was going to be a great addition to the team,” said Katherine Harris, senior vice president retail banking at First County Bank. “In a relatively short period of time, we’ve seen tremendous growth and potential from Grazyna. We look forward to seeing her grow the Springdale branch’s customer base and loan portfolio.”
After six months working in the Summer Street office, Maciejewska moved to the 660 Main Ave. office in Norwalk where she was promoted in two months. In January 2005, she started working in the New Canaan office and just over a year later received a second promotion to assistant branch manager at the 1980 West Main and New Canaan branches. She remained there until being promoted to branch manager at the Springdale location.
Maciejewska earned an associate’s degree in economics from Bialystok Economic College in Poland. She has taken several courses on retail banking policy, commercial lending and residential loans offered by the American Bankers Association. Additionally, she attended and graduated from the Connecticut School of Financial Management on April 1, 2009.
In her spare time, Maciejewska enjoys outdoor activities, swimming, and reading. Additionally, she is actively involved with the Polish School in Stamford, Conn. She is a board member of the Village of Ridgefield, where she lives with her husband and son.
