Halstead wins the 2009 Real Estate Standard of Excellence WebAward

Halstead Property has been honored by the Web Marketing Association with a 2009 WebAward for outstanding achievement in website development, the fourth consecutive award for Halstead. Founded in 1997, the Web Marketing Association’s mission is to improve the quality of online advertising, internet marketing, and website promotion. The WebAwards is the organization’s annual website award competition that names the best websites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all website development. More than 2,000 entries from 45 countries were judged in this year’s competition.

Halstead.com was named one of the best websites based on the seven criteria of a successful website: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting, and ease of use. Halstead’s website gives users the most up-to-date information; listings are updated in real time. The listing system provides Halstead website users with information for more than 3,450 Manhattan, Brooklyn, Riverdale, New Jersey and Connecticut residences.

Recently, Halstead launched a new web tool, the Halstead Value Factor, which features some of the firm’s best value listings. Each property featured in the Halstead Value Factor is pre-qualified for inclusion by meeting specific criteria and successfully passing an intensive review process. The Halstead website enables visitors to search the value properties by price, location, type of home and amenities. As a result, the website traffic to these properties receives at least 60% more traffic and at least half of the listings in the program are in contract or with accepted offers.

Halstead.com also offers visitors access to the firm’s renowned market reports and economic briefings that are issued monthly, quarterly and annually. These reports and briefings provide buyers, sellers and the media with an inside look on current and past market trends for townhouses, condominiums and cooperative apartments in all neighborhoods throughout New York City as well as metro New Jersey and Fairfield County, Connecticut. All the information that users require is instantly available and directly linked with the cities largest database of property information.

Halstead’s online marketing initiatives are led by Executive Vice President/Chief Information and Technology Officer James Cahill and the team includes Web Operations Manager Vincent D’Agostino and Web Developers Oksana Gatsul and Stephen Kelley. They work closely with Halstead’s marketing division headed by Director Gerry Makowski building the industry’s most comprehensive marketing program available.
