Stamford, CT - Murtha Cullina attorney Keith S. Varian has been named a 2013 New Leader in the Law by the Connecticut Law Tribune.
Each year, the Connecticut Law Tribune honors a selection of the state’s “best and brightest” attorneys. This year, the Connecticut Law Tribune received more than 300 nominations, and has selected 60 attorneys to honor.
Applicants, each 40 years of age or under, are attorneys in varying industries and practice in an array of firms and businesses within the State of Connecticut.
Mr. Varian was awarded Fairfield County's Top 40 Businesspeople Under the Age of 40 in 2008 by the Fairfield County Business Journal, as well as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2012 and 2013.
Mr. Varian lives in Fairfield with his wife, Melanie, and their four children, Mallory (9), Emily (8), Maxwell (5) and Maeve (2).
Additionally, Mr. Varian is serving his second term on the Fairfield Representative Town Meeting (RTM) as a representative from District 2. Mr. Varian is currently running for a third term on the RTM and elections will be held Tuesday, November 5th.
The Connecticut Law Tribune will honor the 2013 New Leaders in the Law at a November 7th awards dinner to be held at the Bond Ballroom in downtown Hartford.
Mr. Varian, a member of the firm’s Business and Finance Department, has extensive experience representing owners, investors and developers of commercial real estate in transactions relating to the development, financing, leasing, acquisition, and management of nearly all types of commercial real estate, including office, industrial, retail and apartments. Mr. Varian's finance practice includes representing banks and other lending institutions as well as borrowers in real estate-based financings and other forms of asset-based lending. Mr. Varian is also a member of the firm’s Retail and Hospitality group and Long Term Care and Health Care Groups.
