Renowned author, TV Host and Veteran Correspondent, Rita Cosby, will share secrets to her professional success at the kickoff event for Ladies Who Launch on Wed., Sept. 15, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Philip Johnson Ball house (www.philipjohnsonmodern.com) in New Canaan . Ladies Who Launch is a national franchise focused on helping entrepreneurial women with the launch of new businesses, according to Market Director, Kathy McShane .

“We are honored that Rita Cosby will be our keynoter for the evening,” said McShane. “Rita will bring professional inspiration to the women who attend that evening and we will all benefit from hearing her experiences.

“And we chose the setting of the Philip Johnson Ball house for this opening event because of its highly creative architectural elements,” McShane said. “We believe the women who attend will easily recognize the connection between the genius of the architect and possibilities they are creating for their own businesses.”

Ladies Who Launch (LWL) of Southwestern, CT has a growing membership of more than 300 women who already take advantage of its numerous resources to help develop new businesses and grow existing businesses, according to McShane, who is, herself, a successful marketing entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience.

“This is a serious organization and we want to attract serious businesswomen. Our statistics show that women are starting businesses three times as quickly as men and are as competitive and eager to succeed as their male counterparts.

McShane plans to initiate a ‘fast-track’ boot camp-style series for Ladies Who Launch’ Fresh Entrepreneur training program. “Many women who are trying to launch their own businesses are still employed in other jobs, or juggling family with part-time or fulltime jobs,” McShane said. “They need a way to jump-start their businesses so they can hit the ground running. I will also offer a series of working luncheons called “Lunch and Learn” where we will have experts in specific areas come in and speak.

For more information and reservations, go to the Ladies Who Launch Web site, http://ladieswholaunch.com/southwestct. or call 203-803-9591. Cost for the evening is $35 and $20 for Ladies Who Launch Strata members.
