MERIDEN, CT - Webster Bank presented the Community Economic Development Fund (CEDF) a $25,000 grant to support their small business technical counseling. CEDF was created in 1994 to revitalize Connecticut’s distressed neighborhoods by providing greater access to capital, technical assistance to small businesses, and support for community economic development. Since then, CEDF has provided millions of dollars in loans to small businesses, created and retained hundreds of jobs for Connecticut residents, and funded numerous community planning efforts.
“Supporting CEDF helps strengthen neighborhoods and helps individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals which are part of our core values here at Webster,” said Tim Bergstrom, senior vice president, Business Banking at Webster.
