Stamford, CT - Wells Fargo is celebrating the opening of a new community banking store in Stamford’s Ridgeway Shopping Center at 60 Sixth Street. The new location consolidates two Wells Fargo retail banks previously located at 2284 Summer Street (5,000 square feet) and 300 Main Street (9,800 square feet). An ATM will remain at the Main Street location.
“Our new store is ideally located in the center of Stamford and offers exclusive parking and drive up teller service to better serve both our residential and business customers,” said Joe Kirk, Wells Fargo’s Wells Fargo’s New York and Connecticut regional president. “We are excited to be here and look forward to continuing to offer our customers the products and services that will help them to succeed financially.”
In addition to parking and a drive up lane, the new, more than 3,100 square foot store employs 15 bankers and has an online banking station and a walk up ATM. The store will also feature a mural celebrating the history of Stamford.
This new store is designed and built to the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standards. Compared to conventional commercial buildings, the Stamford store includes the following features:
Approximately 50% in energy saving lighting with the use of LED lights
Approximately 40% savings in water use through the use of low flow fixtures
Low toxicity paints and materials as well as strict indoor air quality management
Construction waste practices which contribute up to 75% of materials being diverted from landfill
Building materials composed of recycled content and cradle to cradle materials
"The opening of our new store reaffirms Wells Fargo's long-standing commitment to the city of Stamford," Kirk said. "In addition to our Ridgeway location, our stores at 364 Hope Street, 597 Elm Street, and 1211 High Ridge Road are also available to conveniently serve our customers in the area.”
