With only five guys and a microphone, Rockapella will prove that the best instrument is the human voice when they perform their holiday show at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Thursday, December 12, at 8 p.m. Unquestionably the hippest and hottest a cappella group to hit the airways, the five über talented guys in Rockapella use no instruments and no tracks -- just their voices -- to perform rock, jazz, R&B and doo-wop. This holiday concert promises to be interactive and include “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “The Dreidel Song” but with a funky edge, and lots of choreography…great family entertainment. For tickets ($45, $35 student tickets available only by calling the box office), call 203-438-5795, or buy tickets online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
With only five guys and a microphone, Rockapella will prove that the best instrument is the human voice when they perform their holiday show at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Thursday, December 12, at 8 p.m. Unquestionably the hippest and hottest a cappella group to hit the airways, the five über talented guys in Rockapella use no instruments, no tracks -- just their voices -- to make them one of the world's most sophisticated pop vocal groups performing rock, jazz, R&B and doo-wop. This concert promises to be interactive and include seasonal favorites such as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “The Dreidel Song” but with a funky edge, and lots of choreography. Rockapella sets the standard for a cappella entertainment. The opening act will be the winner of an a cappella competition run by the Playhouse. Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs will display fashions in the lobby before the show. This event is partially underwritten by Bruce Bennett Nissan and Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs.

Rockapella is the gold standard for unaccompanied vocal performance. They blend five voices, including a vocal percussionist, and are regarded as being at the forefront of contemporary pop music performing everything from vintage Mills Brothers to swinging songs of the season. Not only is their singing off the charts, their stage presence and passion for song makes Rockapella a sought-after ticket for the whole family

For tickets ($45, $35 student tickets available only by calling the box office), call 203-438-5795, or buy tickets online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, in Ridgefield, CT.
