The Stamford Symphony presents five-time Tony Award and two-time Grammy Award winner, Audra McDonald, for an exclusive concert event on Saturday, April 6th at Stamford’s Palace Theatre.
One of the most honored actresses of her generation, Audra McDonald is the winner of five Tony Awards (Carousel, Master Class, Ragtime, A Raisin in the Sun, and Porgy and Bess) and has been nominated for two additional Tony Awards (Marie Christine and 110 in the Shade). In addition to musicals, McDonald has triumphed in Shakespeare (Twelfth Night and Henry IV) and won TV fame in Private Practice.
McDonald will perform an intimate evening of favorite show tunes, classic songs from the movies, and original pieces written especially for this extraordinary artist who is at the height of her expressive powers.
