Stamford Downtown will be preparing for this Sunday’s UBS Parade Spectacular, presented by Stamford Town Center and The Advocate, with the annual Balloon Inflation Party sponsored by SAC Capital Advisors, LP. Fans are invited to take an exclusive backstage look at the parade’s 17 giant helium balloons coming to life on Hoyt Street at Summer on November 21 from 3 – 6 p.m.

Balloons including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Leonardo, Cookie Monster, Super Grover, Elmo and Miss Piggy will line Hoyt and Franklin Streets, giving spectators an up close look as the giant creatures are filled with helium. The Pixies Six, a dance and contortionist group from the 2009 season of “America’s Got Talent” will be on-hand to entertain party goers. The six young girls from Cape May, N.J. will give attendees a sneak peak of the routine that they will be performing during the UBS Parade Spectacular.

Kids will have the opportunity to say “hello” to Santa Claus, as he will also be attending the inflation party with his little helper. Other special guests include a magician, puppeteers, Clifford the Big Red Dog and D.J. Omar who will be leading the crowd in games and contests.

Everyone is invited to partake in the inflation party fun and enjoy the giant helium balloons before they take to the air and float through the streets of Stamford Downtown. The UBS Parade Spectacular steps off at 12 p.m. on Sunday, November 22.
