Bandapalooza on Bedford Street concludes Thursday, June 16

Stamford Downtown Special Services District presents Bandapalooza on Bedford Street in partnership with Dos Equis, Newcastle Brown Ale and 95.9 The Fox. Bedford Street in Stamford Downtown will be closed to traffic on Thursday, June 16 from 5pm-11pm.

Dine at Stamforrd's extended sidewalk cafes. Enjoy live music featuring the winners of Stamford Downtown’s Bandapalooza battle of the bands competing for a chance to open at Alive@Five.

Two of these bands will go on to open at Alive@Five this summer:
Stalking Sally vs. The Mike Cusato Band (Rescheduled from June 9 to June 16, competing to open for Lee DeWyze at Alive@Five). The Adam Currie Band vs. The Mad Things featuring The Good Doctor (competing to open for MC Hammer at Alive@Five).

The winner of Week One of Bandapalooza on Bedford Street was Black Taxi. Black Taxi competed against The Would Coulda Shouldas on June 2. Both bands put on a terrific show. Black Taxi will be opening for Third Eye Blind at Alive@Five on June 23, 2011.

Bandapalooza on Bedford Street is presented by Stamford Downtown Special Services District and the City of Stamford in partnership with Dos Equis, Newcastle Brown Ale and 95.9 The Fox and is also sponsored by The Advocate, Crystal Rock, Sound Magazine, WSTC/WNLK radio station, Fairfield County Weekly, and Happyhaha Photography.

Participating restaurants include: BUtterfield 8, Bradford’s Grill & Tavern, Brick House Bar & Grill, Capriccio Café, Lola’s Mexican Kitchen, Lucky’s Classic Burger & Malt Shop, Remo’s Brick Oven Pizza, Telluride, Tengda Asian Bistro and Tigín Irish Pub.
