Chaz Esposito of New Haven as Bobby Darin
Look out, old Mackie’s back in town! Mack the Knife: The Life and Music of Bobby Darin will be rocking The Kweskin Theatre for four nights only September 25, 26, 27 and 28 as part of Curtain Call’s new season of fund-raising and fun! “If you’ve ever swung or sung to “Mack The Knife” you’ll love this show” said Lou Ursone, Curtain Call Executive Director.

“With so many hit songs packed into one night along with a terrific actor (Chaz Esposito) plus a nine-piece band on stage and great audio visual components, this is one of the most entertaining nights out you’ll find,” Ursone said. Esposito has been performing this show to sold-out houses for several years and has received raves everywhere he has played.

Larry Frenock, Producing Director of The Gretna Theatre said, “Mack The Knife did the best business here in years including breaking our opening night box office record.” John Fisher, Executive Director of The Shubert Performing Arts Center stated, “Mack is just a Great Show!” Critics have called Mack The Knife “Terrific/Brilliant” and “An Impressive Homage.” Mack The Knife has been the only show to have the endorsement of The Bobby Darin Estate. Telecharge.com said: ´Mack The Knife….The Life and Times of Bobby Darin is an impressive homage to a man whose memory lives on and on, as well as a fun way to spend a couple of hours."

“When we’re planning our season, we always look for fun and entertaining programming that we think local audiences will enjoy. When planning fund-raisers, it’s even more important to have an event that people want to be at” Ursone said. With ticket prices at $35 ($50 for Saturday night with a post-show champagne reception) “you can have a fabulous night out and know that you’re helping Stamford’s longest-running community-based theatre operation,” he added. “With utility bills that last year neared $50,000, we certainly need to do our share of fund-raising and hope the community will ‘pack the place’ for this wonderful show,” Ursone said.

Patrons may view video clips of the show at: www.splishsplashproductions.com. For tickets, call the Curtain Call Box Office at 203-461-6358 x13 or go online to www.curtaincallinc.com. If buying a discounted season pass of any kind, additional discounts are available for this production as well.
