College Night on Broadway returns to New Haven

New Haven, CT - The Broadway Merchants Association invites all graduate and undergraduate college students to the Broadway District in New Haven for a Friday night out on September 16th, 2011 from 5-9pm. College Night will feature amazing discounted shopping and countless activities; along with free food, live music, giveaways and a raffle with a chance to win a free $1,000 vacation!

College Night features over 20 stores and restaurants along Broadway including but not limited to J Crew, Jack Wills, Urban Outfitters and the Barnes and Noble Bookstore at Yale. Participating stores will have discounts of up to 20% off, along with some special in store promotions such as free jewelry to the first 200 customers at Laila Rowe and free Ashley’s Ice Cream!

As students shop around Broadway, they will be provided with the enjoyment of live music featuring the band Voted Most Random. Other offerings include free henna tattoos, free caricatures, free kettle corn, and the chance to win an exuberant amount of prizes in small games such as Plinko!

Ample parking is available at the 272 Elm Street surface parking lot; located next to Trailblazer and the parking lot behind the Payne Whitney Gym. Free shuttle transportation will be provided from Quinnipiac, Southern and University of New Haven.

About College Night on Broadway

College Night on Broadway is sponsored by the Broadway Merchants Association in downtown New Haven. College Night has been a popular event since 2004; bringing thousands of undergraduate and graduate students to New Haven for a night of discounted shopping, live music, free food and endless amounts of activities. Broadway stores are open until 9pm Monday through Saturday and until 6pm on Sunday.
