All natural pink drinks, a professional photographer complete with wind fan, make-up applications by the pros and so much more -- all to make everyone who attends, and cancer survivors, feel beautiful while raising money for a great cause. On Wednesday, January 15, Drink Pink, Think Pink will be an evening at The Ridgefield Playhouse that raises money for Ann's Place and Danbury Hospital's Breast Care Program, all while people are having fun and listening to a very funny, poignant speaker.

The evening starts with a wine tasting and cheese samplings from No. 109 Wine & Cheese, hors-d’oeuvre and pâtés from Bernard’s, All-Natural X-Rated Fusion Liqueur pink drinks, your chance to get your photos taken by Kristen Jensen, make-up applications by the pros at Adam Broderick Salon and Spa plus silent auction and raffle items in the lobby at 6:30 p.m. Then at 7:30 author Jude Callirgos will take the stage to read excerpts from her new book Breast Left Unsaid, a funny and poignant story about finding out you have cancer and how you deal with it. This is bound to be an evening of laughs, tears and meaningful moments.

To quote Ms. Callirgos: "All I can say is that it's a rare friend who carts your butt to chemo and then kneels next to your tub in her Eileen Fisher tunic and cleans (crap) off your dog." This event is underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, No. 109 Cheese & Wine, Bernard's, The Ridgefield Playhouse, X-Rated Fusion Liqueur and is part of Hamlet Hub’s A Whole New You and Moffly Media Entertaining Conversations Series.

A retired Human Resources executive, Jude Callirgos spent the earlier part of her career focused on the performing arts, both as a producer and performer. She is still a member of The Screen Actors Guild (SAG). Since publishing Breast Left Unsaid, her first full-length book, she has been a guest on healthcare focused radio and television programs, and served as the honorary chair for Race for the Cure. Despite having advanced stage cancer herself, Jude intends to continue writing and advocating for a cure for all cancers. She lives in Redding, CT with her husband and donates a percentage of the proceeds from her book and speaking engagements to cancer research organizations.

For tickets @ $25 (100% of proceeds to breast cancer charities), call the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse, (203) 438-5795, or order online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
