The Easton Arts Council is pleased to announce its 2013 Juried Photography Exhibition to take place at the Easton Library Community Room from November 18 through January 3, 2014. The judge will be Michael Shapiro, a Westport-based dealer in rare and contemporary photography. An art history graduate of Emory University, he interned under curator Gillian Wilson at the J. Paul Getty Museum and was a student at Sotheby’s Works of Art Course in London. He is also a former board member of the Ansel Adams Center/Friends of Photography and the San Francisco Art Dealer’s Association.
All photographers are invited to enter photographs that highlight the rural and scenic beauty of Easton. Awards will be given in both adult and youth categories. First prize winners will receive a $100 cash award and ribbon. Their photo will become part of the permanent collection of the town of Easton. Second prize, honorable mention and four awards of merit will receive a ribbon and certificate.
