A rare experiment: Mix educational content with fun and the theatre arts, and learning is disguised as entertainment. An Arts in Education event, Doktor Kaboom! will be presented by The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, April 27, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Doktor Kaboom! is supported by Newman’s Own Foundation, Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation, Fairfield County Community Foundation, The Philip H. and Christine Lodewick Foundation, Union Savings Bank and the Wadsworth Lewis Trust Fund.
Children will be entertained and educated by the zany yet sound antics of Doktor Kaboom who is keenly aware of how to tie his science experiments to mandated school curriculum standards. He cleverly mixes live theater with scientific exploration for children, educators and parents alike to enjoy. Teachers who take their classes to the Playhouse to see Doktor Kaboom! go on a hilarious journey that can change the way kids think about science. Ideal for grades 2-8, Doktor Kaboom! is 55-70 minutes long with additional time dedicated to Q & A. This production is a unique way to help students see science in a whole new light.
