STAMFORD, CT - Rising country music star JERROD NIEMANN is reaching out a helping hand to our neighbors in Connecticut in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Niemann’s previously scheduled performance at The Palace Theatre in Stamford, CT on Nov. 17 at 8 p.m. will now be a relief concert for Hurricane Sandy victims, in the wake of the recent devastation. Joining forces with Stamford Center for the Arts, he hopes to raise money for the American Red Cross and collect non-perishable food items (such as canned foods, powdered milk and peanut butter) as well as toiletry items, for those who’ve experienced loss and are in a desperate time of need. The food items will be donated to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.
“We are very proud to be teaming up with Jerrod Niemann to help those impacted the most by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy,” said Elissa O. Getto, SCA’s Executive Director. “We encourage all attending to join us in this relief effort by giving to the American Red Cross (which will be accepting financial donations that evening,) bringing non-perishable food items for the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, or by purchasing something from the merchandise booth (portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the American Red Cross).”
Niemann adds, “I’m honored to be working with the Stamford Center of the Arts to make this happen, and I hope by teaming together with the local community we can make a difference for those in need. Not only is the show for a good cause, my band and I will make it a hell of a good time, too!”
