Johnny Peers and the Muttville Comix
They are coming back! Johnny Peers is once again bringing his menagerie of mongrels to The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts-the date for the Muttville Comix return is Saturday, January 31 at both 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Part of the Pepsi Children's Series, Noah's Ark Animal Hospital and South Salem Animal Hospital are underwriting both of these anxiously awaited return performances.

Each dog in the Muttville Comix has its own character and attributes, providing for a range of exciting and talented performances, such as jumping rope, climbing ladders, knocking Johnny down, and, of course, walking all over him. Mr. Peers silently plays the fall guy to his menagerie of mongrels. Johnny Peers is somewhat of a clown-literally. He joined the Ringling Clown College and graduated in 1970. He then created his Charlie Chaplin like character and fashioned a dog act after the one created by longtime circus clown, Lou Jacobs.

For tickets ($15 all seats) and further information about The Ridgefield Playhouse, call the box office at 203-438-5795; tickets may be also purchased online at www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Playhouse is at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street.
