FAIRFIELD, CT - On Sunday, Oct. 23 at 2 pm, the Fairfield Museum and History Center, in conjunction with their exhibition, Bravo! A Century of Theater in Fairfield County, will present a special public performance from Quill Entertainment of its Mr. History musical, Everybody’s Watching—the Making of the Constitution, at the Museum, 370 Beach Road in Fairfield.

A la the popular movies National Treasure and Night at the Museum, in a Mr. History musical, usually presented only in schools, kids see history come to life. In Everybody’s Watching, referring to James Madison’s observation that the eyes of the world were focused on this experiment in democracy, five students journey back to Philadelphia in 1787and see the creation of the Constitution.

With music by the Emmy-award winning Stephen Lawrence, the talent behind hundreds of songs heard on Sesame Street and the Gold Album "Free To Be… You and Me," and lyrics by Emmy-nominated writer and director, Granville Burgess, the musical makes this pivotal moment in US history as pleasant a memory as a Broadway show tune, with no memorization required!

“We are concerned about the lack of knowledge about our history on the part of too many of our citizens,” Burgess said. “So we make history fun—educating through entertainment.” Other productions are Paul Revere, The Lewis and Clark Expedition, Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad, Martin Luther King and the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and the Civil War’s 29th Connecticut Regiment of black soldiers, founded in Greenwich.

The Museum’s Bravo! Exhibition, now through March 18, 2012, explores the wealth of theatrical history that took place right in Fairfield County with interactive stations, costume displays and more. Tickets to Everybody’s Watching are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $5 for teachers. They are available at 203-259-1598 or they may be purchased Online.
