STAMFORD, CT - Through letters spanning over 50 years -- from the first scrawled valentines of childhood, to the last guilty good-byes – “Love Letters” reveals the unique nostalgia of two lives. M&M Productions will perform this Pulitzer-Prize winning play on Sunday, April 21 at 2 p.m. at The Ferguson Library, Bedford & Broad Streets, Stamford.
While the images the letters create bring back youth's universal innocence, fears and fancies, they further reveal the characters themselves. We learn about Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd, their goals and dreams, through a written "love affair" that takes them from grade school through middle age. And as the two ponder opportunity lost and love squandered, we see the very essence of their life-long relationship...all in the letters that were at its very root.
M&M veterans, Karen Quinn-Panzer and Frank Panzer will bring Love Letters to life. Love Letters is a co-production with the Panzer’s new theater group, Village Stage, in Milford CT.
