Lumina String Quartet to perform at the Ferguson Library

Enjoy an all Russian program when Norwalk’s Lumina String Quartet performs at the Ferguson Library Thursday, August 5 at 6 p.m. The concert will feature works by Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky and Galzunov. Admission is free.

The Lumina String Quartet is the ensemble in residence at Norwalk Community College. It has maintained a concert series as well as master classes since 1992.

The Lumina Quartet's educational activities include coaching chamber groups for the Norwalk Youth Symphony Orchestra and a summer festival called Chamber Music Institute for Young People. Repertory ranges from the baroque to contemporary, with an emphasis on Russian composers.
