Lyme Research Alliance to host holiday appraisal day

Stamford, CT - Lyme Research Alliance (previously Time for Lyme) the leading private funder of Lyme disease medical research in the US will host the 4th annual Holiday Boutique and Appraisal Day on Monday and Tuesday, October 22nd and 23rd. Shop and enjoy “Opening Night” wine and refreshments on Monday evening from 6 pm to 8:30pm; open hours will be 9am-4.30pm on Tuesday, 23rd. The Boutique will be held at Christ Church Parish Hall at 254 East Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, CT.

The Holiday Boutique offers a fantastic jump-start on holiday shopping with a selection of interesting and unique gift items to choose from. Buyers will receive the added bonus of knowing that a portion of the money they spend will be donated to Lyme Research Alliance, to support scientific research into Lyme and other tick borne illnesses.


Former Sotheby’s appraisers will be on site from 10am-3pm on Tuesday, October 23. Lark E. Mason, Jr., owner of online auction site, and Helen F. Kippax of The Antiques Brokerage House, Ltd, an art consulting and appraisal firm, will be on hand to appraise heirlooms. Lark Mason is one of the premiere appraisers of Chinese art and antiques in the United States. Helen Kippax also appraises and advises on estate dispositions, and worked at William Doyle Galleries where she was one of the first female auctioneers.

Mr. Mason and Ms. Kippax will appraise items at a fee of $20.00 per item and $50.00 for three items. Proceeds from these appraisals will be donated to Lyme Research Alliance. Customers can bring their items for appraisal or a digital photo, and these well-established professionals will tell you what they’re worth.
