To celebrate Leonard Bernstein's 100th Anniversary, the Norwalk Symphony and The New Paradigm Theatre are partnering for a one-night-only production at 8pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019, to present of one of the greatest musicals in the American repertoire. Bernstein’s music and Stephen Sondheim’s lyrics will be showcased by the symphony as well as performers from CT and NYC.

In addition to presenting this beautiful music, the two organizations are committed to a “collective impact” production, bridging the gap between the arts and the local community by choosing a local non-profit that echoes the theme of the show: Building One Community (B1C).

“This is an exciting opportunity to present a version of West Side Story that has only recently been made available to orchestras. We are honored to have been chosen by the Bernstein Foundation, and we are thrilled to be working with NPT to bring this special evening to life” says Sandra Miklave, Executive Director for the NSO.

Artistic Director and Broadway veteran, Kristin Huffman (Milford, CT), says, “New Paradigm is a theatre with a social conscience. We produce and co-produce events and shows that not only entertain with Broadway pros, but that also connect directly to our community.
