Curtain Call is thrilled to announce auditions for the final show of the 2012-13 season in The Kweskin Theatre: LEGALLY BLONDE, THE MUSICAL!

With music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and book by Heather Hach, the story is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner. She discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others, and successfully defends exercise queen Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial. The original cast included Laura Bell Bundy as Elle Woods, Christian Borle as Emmett Forrest and Richard H. Blake as Warner.

All roles are open for this large cast musical to be directed by Lynne Colatrella with music direction by Greg Chrzczon and choreography by Jimmy Locust. Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday, March 18 and 19, beginning at 7:00pm each evening. Those auditioning should prepare a brief uptempo song in the style of the show, bring sheet music in the proper key and be prepared to learn a brief dance combination. You may also be asked to read from the script.

Performances will be held Friday through Sunday, June 7 through 29 in The Kweskin Theatre, 1349 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT. There are some Thursday evening and Saturday matinee performances as well.
