Remember September (www.myspace.com/rememberseptember), acoustic rock band from Trumbull, Conn., which just released a second CD this year--“The Roads we Travel”—will headline the 34th Annual Sono Arts Celebration this Saturday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is planning its third annual benefit concert at Walter Reed Medical Center for August 21st, 2010 according to band manager John Schod.
“One of the most exciting concerts this summer will be the band’s August 7th performance at the annual SONO (South Norwalk, Conn.) Arts Celebration as the main stage headline act,” Schod said. “That’s going to be an awesome performance for us and will be an opportunity to showcase our new lead female vocalist, Mary Albano of Trumbull.”
The Walter Reed event, which will be held for wounded soldiers, their families, and the staff at the hospital is "the band's tribute to the brave women and men who put their lives on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan," Schod said. “The concert will be sponsored by the Wounded Warrior Project, an international, non-profit group which raises money to assist veterans with food, shelter, clothing, medical and education.
