Rock ‘n’ Roll band Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes will be in concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, May 1, 8 p.m.
The rock ‘n’ roll band Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, best known for their classic songs “I Don’t Want To Go Home”, “The Fever”, “All I Want Is Everything” and “Havin’ A Party”, have recorded twenty albums and performed in thousands of live concerts around the globe. On Saturday, May 1 at 8 p.m., Southside Johnny and his eight-piece band will take the stage of The Ridgefield Playhouse. Media sponsor is the Peak 107.1fm.

Southside Johnny has led his horn-heavy rock ‘n’ roll/R&B band for more than three decades. Known as a gifted singer with a natural soul sound and a knack for calibrating his voice to fit the song, Southside Johnny Lyon is a contemporary of Bruce Springsteen, to whom he credits his success and with whom he has performed. Southside got his nickname from the fact that he became a fan of the blues that pervade the south side of Chicago. Southside describes his band’s concerts as “It’s gotta’ be different every night…Our audience knows what they’re getting…”

For tickets ($60 orches., $55 mezz.), call or visit the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse at (203) 438-5795, 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT, or buy tickets online at www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
