The Grandfather of "The New Jersey Sound" is back. Yes, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes are returning to The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts on Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18. Underwritten by Ridgefield Capital Asset Management, LP on Friday night, and Richard Zins and David Moss of Wachovia Securities on Saturday night, tickets for this "World's Greatest Bar Band" are already at a premium.

Having collaborated with other New Jersey artists such as Steven Van Zandt, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny has a soul all his own. The R&B fanatic has been bringing his unique horn-backed chords to packed houses for decades. From one sold-out show to the next, Southside Johnny prefers the energy of a live show to recording-playing hits from his albums "This Time It's For Real," "Havin' A Party With Southside Johnny," "At Least We Got Shoes," "Going to Jukesville," and their latest, "Into The Harbour."

For tickets ($55) or more information, call the box office at (203) 438-5795 or go to www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is located at 80 East Ridge, which runs parallel to Main Street.
