The region’s hottest concert series, Alive @ Five kicks off Thursday, June 25th in Columbus Park in Stamford Downtown. This year there’s a new look to Alive @ Five including a Food Court that will feature restaurants that will join our incredible neighborhood sidewalk cafes. Alive @ Five is a seven week series held Thursday, June 25 – August 6, 2009, -5pm in Columbus Park, Stamford Downtown.

Because of the success of Alive @ Five concert series and the increased costs of bringing extraordinary talent to the event, the DSSD has had to initiate important changes. Please note:

Things you should know before you go!

1. You must be 21 and older to get into the concert area after 6:30 pm. Proper I.D. is required. If you are under 21 or want to bring your young family to the concert, you are most welcome to enter before 6:30pm and stay for the entire concert (No one under the age of 21 will be allowed in after 6:30 pm.)

2. There will now be a $5.00 fee to attend the Alive @ Five Festival. This fee is essential in order to produce a high quality festival. Children aged 12 and under are free, but must enter the concert area before 6:30 pm.

3. There will be a single main entrance located on Main Street just east of Clarke and Lower Summer Streets with multiple entry portals. This main gate is conveniently located near Bell Street, Summer Street and Stamford Town Center Garages.

4. Restricted Items: Attendees cannot enter with coolers, glass containers, alcohol, exotic pets, video cameras or tape recorders. Backpacks and large bags are subject to police search. Please leave them at home.

Make sure you designate a driver if you are drinking or ask at any beer tent for a cab.
