Stamford, CT - Stamford Mayor Michael A. Pavia announced that the Stamford Early Childhood Collaborative together with the City of Stamford will be celebrating its annual Early Childhood Fair at Stamford’s Chelsea Piers.
On Saturday, November 9th, we will hold our sixth annual Early Childhood Fair at Chelsea Piers on Blachley Road from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The fair is free for families and will feature hands on activities for young children and information about available resources in our community, including preschool and kindergarten registration.
“The Early Childhood Fair is a great event for young children and their families,” Mayor Pavia said. “This event highlights the importance of early childhood education for young children and provides families with information on the many resources available to them in the city. It also reinforces my desire to continuously bring volunteer community agencies together to foster good things in our community.”
The fair will include fun activities such as Touch a Truck, face painting, and performances by popular children’s performers The Bossy Frog, The Amazing Andy and The Pender-Keady Academy of Irish Dancers. The event is co-sponsored by the Stamford Early Childhood Collaborative, The City of Stamford, Chelsea Piers, Stamford Public Schools, the Stamford School Readiness Foundation, and the United Way of Western Connecticut. Last year’s event drew 400 families.
