After more than 1000 performances as Frankie Valli in the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys, Jarrod Spector is taking audiences on the ride of his lifetime. From "Star Search" champion to Ivy League dropout and back to Broadway as one of the most iconic rock singers ever, Jarrod Spector will bring his show Minor Fall, Major Lift to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, April 26, at 8 p.m. The repertoire includes songs and stories of a kid from Philadelphia and his tumultuous relationship with music, which covers everything from The Jackson 5 to Led Zeppelin to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons’ hits “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Who Loves You” and more. This event is part of the Ridgefield Magazine Broadway & Cabaret Series and is partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa with media sponsor WMNR Fine Arts Radio. Bernard’s (22 West Lane, Ridgefield) is offering a special $45 prix-fixe menu before the show, or a free glass of wine with dinner, when tickets are presented; reservations suggested.

The multi-talented Jarrod Spector had leading roles in Les Misérables (Gavroche) and Chicago in addition to Jersey Boys. Having played the role of Frankie Valli in the smash Broadway hit Jersey Boys more than 1,500 times, Spector made playing that iconic role look effortless and kept it amazingly fresh. In his touring show, “Spector does not hold back in showcasing his voice and certainly does not refrain from sharing personal details…. Some of the evening’s highlights included ‘Mandy’ by Barry Manilow, a soulful rendition of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ and Chicago’s ‘You’re the Inspiration’”, reported Adam Taxin on examiner.com.

For tickets ($45), call the box office (203) 438-5795, or go online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT; ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
