STAR staff members Nancy Armstrong and Mark Minnock created the Theater of STARS program eight years ago for adults served by STAR, and each year the number of participating performers has grown.

This year, nearly 60 STAR performers from Norwalk, Westport, Weston, Wilton, Darien and New Canaan will participate in the show. Audience participation is encouraged.

STAR’s Development Director, Peter Saverine says, “Moving to Concert Hall at Norwalk City Hall this year is so important to us. The City of Norwalk has always been a strong supporter of STAR. We’re taking full advantage of this professional theatrical stage and full-size auditorium with its wonderful acoustics.

STARs on Broadway will showcase favorite Broadway show tunes woven into a story with dances performed by a cast whose talents outshine the challenges of developmental disabilities they face each day. For the ultimate, feel-good break from the holiday rush, we hope the public will join us in support of our rising STARs to fill this great venue.”
