STAMFORD, CT - HAIRSPRAY The Broadway Musical comes to life on stage at Trinity Catholic High School for a limited run in early April.

The 1950's are out and change is in the air! HAIRSPRAY, a winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, is a family-friendly musical piled bouffant high with laughter, romance, and deliriously tuneful songs.

It's 1962 in Baltimore, MD, and the lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire -- to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show. When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star. She must use her newfound power to dethrone the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a TV network, all without denting her 'do!

HAIRSPRAY, a musical comedy features music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, and book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, and is based on the New Line Cinema film written and directed by John Waters. The show premiered in Seattle. Following a successful west coast engagement, it transferred to Broadway and opened in 2002 where it ran for more than six years with over 2,600 performances.

“This show is so entertaining with songs and dances that capture the audience from start to finish,” says the show’s director, Brian Bianco. “We are thrilled to be offering such a fun and lively show for our school’s spring performance,” adds Michele Schule, the show’s producer.
