Jazz on the Plaza is a free summer concert series at the Stamford Town Center that started in 2008 and has expanded to nine weeks this year.
"We're excited to have the opportunity to showcase local and regional talent in such a great outdoor setting. The Plaza at Stamford Town Center makes for a perfect venue for jazz music to entertain diners at all of our fine patio restaurants,” said Jim Zielinski, Marketing and Sponsorship Director, Stamford Town Center. “Thanks to the Stamford Young Artists Philharmonic for helping us coordinate this unique offering in Stamford Downtown." Jazz on the Plaza kicked off two weeks ago with a performance by the Bill Harris Quartet and a week later bassist Joe Sinaguglia and his band treated the crowd with his music.
Both times, the weather cleared and stayed rain-free for the event that drew scores of revelers to the plaza and the nearby restaurants.
