Christie's 65 year old play will be presented in the Dressing Room Theatre from September 12 through 28, with evening performances on Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm. Performances in The Dressing Room Theatre are presented with cabaret-style seating and a BYOEverything format. “It's like a bring your own dinner theatre,” said Lou Ursone, Curtain Call Executive Director, explaining that doors open one hour before showtime for patrons to bring in a picnic meal and beverages of their choice. “Of course, you don't have to bring food,” he said, “it just adds to the fun of the night out at a very reasonable cost.” Directing this production (formerly known as Ten Little Indians) is Stamford resident and veteran director, Joel Fenster. “When we decided to do another Christie play, there was no question for me that Joel was going to be the one to direct it. His passion and excitement for her (Christie's) works make him the best man for the job,” Ursone said. “Watching Joel’s rehearsals has gotten me even more excited about this production – reaffirming that he truly is perfectly suited to direct this production,” he added. “I've been an Agatha Christie fan since the late 1970s when I saw the movie "Murder on the Orient Express" said Fenster. “From watching that I started reading her books - the second one I read was "And Then There Were None" and it quickly became one of my favorite books. I still remember the chills that went down my spine as I read it and the characters died one by one,” he added. "I'm honored that Curtain Call has asked me to come back for a second year in a row to direct one of my favorite stories. And while being a stay-at-home dad with two young sons (Malcolm is 3, Duncan is 2 months and no, we're not naming our kids after the Scottish play, its just co-incidence), has made working on shows harder, my wife and I were able to work out doing this show because of the place it holds in my heart. If this is going to be my last show for a while (at least a year if not longer), then I'm thrilled to be going out on a high note -- a great play, with a great cast and crew at a great theater in the town I've lived in for 31 of my 39 years on this planet. Included in the cast are: Rasha Clark (Ossining, NY), William Cody (Trumbull), Mario Fuentes (Port Chester, NY), Carl Gingola (Norwalk), Rob Nichols, Ray Stephens and Stephen Tubbs (Norwalk), Neil Allen Nothwang (Stamford), Suzanne Ochs (Dobbs Ferry, NY), Christina Richardson (Wilton) and Stephen DiRocco (Wilton, CT). Production design is by Peter Barbieri, Jr. (Ossining, NY) with costumes by Amber Gordon (Fairfield). The rest of Curtain Call’s season includes Bell, Book and Candle, The Producers, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Nunsense, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Wizard of Oz, Mulberry Street and Mack the Knife: The life and music of Bobby Darin (which overlaps the run of And Then There Were None by one weekend. Last year's production of Christie's The Mousetrap sold out in record time, so making advance reservations is suggested.
