The Office of Operations Engineering Bureau announces below the schedule of roads to be paved in Fiscal Year 2011/2012 and overview of the 2-year moratorium that will be placed on the roads once they are paved.

In an effort to better manage the street resurfacing program, City of Stamford policy employs a 2-year moratorium for street openings (saw cuts and excavation) on all new pavement surfaces.

After any street has been constructed, reconstructed, or paved, the pavement surface shall not be cut or opened for a period of 2 years.

Below is a paving list of fiscal year 2011-2012 which will commence after July 1, 2011. The listing is in alphabetical order, not in the priority order.

Residents are advised that any requests for street opening permits for roadways listed above shall be completed on or before July 1, 2011. The City of Stamford requires that anyone proposing to cut or excavate a street for any purpose shall have an approved street opening permit to do so in advance of paving operations. After which, requests for street opening on the above noted roads will not be approved until the 2-year moratorium lapses in 2013.

Contact the Engineering Bureau if you have any questions on this process at 203-977-4136.
