Highgrove Condominium Tower crane to be raised to the final construction working elevation

The City's Engineering Bureau met with Hunter Roberts Construction Company, the HighWove Condominium Construction Manager and their concrete subcontractor on August 15 to discuss the anticipated raising of their construction tower crane to the final working elevation. The Highgrove Condominium construction project is located on the corner of Grove Street & Forest Street with the erected tower crane presently located on the west side of the property adjacent to the Avalon Greyrock apartment complex. Commencement of the raising activity has been scheduled for the weekend of September 20 & 21' and will be completed as follows.

DAY 1— Saturday, September 20

Delivery & installation of the Potain tower crane raising cage will be conducted between the hours of 5 A.M. and 3 P.M. During this time period material delivery trucks will be staged on Forest Street with all unloading conducted within the construction site limits, Forest Street will be closed to through traffic from Grove Street to Greyrock Place during these construction hours. This scheduled date is subject to change based upon the onset of inclement weather_

DAY 2 — Sunday, September 21

Delivery & installation of (5) — 5 meter mast sections will be conducted between the hours of 5 A.M. and 12 noon_ During this time period material delivery trucks will be staged on Forest Street with all unloading conducted within the construction site limits, The tower crane will be raised from the current elevation of 155'-10" to a final elevation of 237'-10", During these hours Grove Street will be closed to through traffic from the intersection of Prospect Street and Broad Street. Forest Street will be closed to through traffic from Greyrock Place to Grove Street. This scheduled date is subject to change based upon the onset of inclement weather_

Issuance of a City of Stamford's Street Use Permit stipulates the conditions for this closure which includes the attached detour plan. This plan was developed by the city and reviewed with the construction manager and the concrete general contractor prior to execution.

Any costs associated with this detour and road closure will be borne by the Highgrove Condominiums contractors at no additional cost to the City of Stamford.
