STAMFORD, CT - Stamford Town Center today announced that it is bringing three new retailers and a two new dining experiences to the shopping center.

J.Crew will join Stamford this winter with a 5,247 square foot store on Level 4. Yankee Candle Company, known for its range of seasonal and specialty scented candles, will be located on the same level in the Saks Fifth Avenue wing. Cellular telephone superstore AT&T Mobility also will find a new home on Level 4.

Stamford’s new Food Court soon will include Charley’s Grilled Subs and Japanese eatery Ichiban Teriyaki. These restaurants will be among the highlights in the shopping center’s recently reopened 450-seat Food Court, which includes the popular Looney Tunes Children’s Play Area presented by Norwalk Hospital.

“These are well-known national retailers that are a wonderful compliment to the retail mix we have here,” said Michael McAndrews, general manager of Stamford Town Center. “With our renovations, new Food Court and addition of great stores like Zara and H&M, we have the redefined merchandise mix our customers have been asking for.”

J.Crew is a specialty retailer of women’s, men’s and children’s apparel and accessories. Its products range from its famous broken-in chinos to fine Italian cashmere sweaters to wedding and special occasion attire. J.Crew also sells swimwear, loungewear, outerwear, shoes, bags, belts, hair accessories and jewelry.

The new Yankee Candle store will showcase Yankee Candle’s signature Housewarmer jar candles and many other candle styles in about 125 fragrances. It also carries a variety of other home-fragrance and personal-care products. The store interior is designed to display the merchandise in a warm and attractive, yet easy-to-shop format.

AT&T Mobility is one of the world’s largest retailers of cellular telephones and services. The store sells a variety of name-brand telephones including Nokia, Ericsson and Motorola.

Charley’s Grilled Subs got its reputation for Philly Steak Subs and gourmet fries shortly after opening its first location near the Ohio State University in 1986. Since then, the 350-unit restaurant chain has attracted a loyal fan base all over the country.

Sushi fans have long known that Ichiban Teriyaki is the place for fresh, delicious seafood and other Japanese delicacies. The quick, casual restaurant chain is considered a delight for eyes and taste buds.

Stamford Town Center, with Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and 130 specialty stores, is located at Exit 8 off I-95, at the intersection of Tresser and Greyrock in the heart of downtown Stamford. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Sit-down restaurants located in the new Plaza wing of the mall have extended operating hours.
