Hartford Mayor Pedro E. Segarra wants residents to know that there is an additional way for families to beat the heat during this first heat wave of the season. Spray pools/pads are now open in several locations throughout the City.
The following locations are now operational:
1. Goodwin Park
2. Metzner Center
3. Colt Park
4. Day Park
5. Pope Park (North)
6. Sigourney Park
7. Keney Park
8. Waverly Park
9. Foster Heights Park
“I want to thank the Department of Public Works for activating these spray pools ahead of schedule to help provide families with a fun way to stay cool and still enjoy our parks and facilities. Cooling Centers will remain open tomorrow as the forecast predicts another day above 90-degrees,” said Mayor Segarra.
