‘Meet the Chefs’ in March - Local restaurant chefs featured at the libraries

Sign up now to Meet The Chefs in March! The Norwalk Library System is hosting four cooking demonstrations featuring some of our city’s most popular restaurants. You can ask questions, maybe learn some of their secrets, and enjoy the opportunity to meet the people who make our lives so much tastier!
Registration online by March 1 - attendance limited - Meigas, March 2 and Strada 18, March 16 at the South Norwalk Branch Library and The Stand, March 22 and Coromandel, March 29 at the Norwalk Public Library - details of featured restaurants listed below.
Each chef will demonstrate a recipe of his or her own choosing. Audience members can see these experts in action making the dishes that have made their restaurants so well-loved.
There is no charge for the programs, but attendance is limited, and you must register on the library website at www.norwakpubliclibrary.org by March 1. You can register for any or all of the programs; they will all start at 6:30 and end by 8:00 pm.
Tuesday, March 2 at the South Norwalk Branch Library:
Meigas (Galician for sorceresses), located at 10 Wall St., offers the highest quality, most authentic Spanish cuisine.
Tuesday, March 16 at the South Norwalk Branch Library:
Strada 18 apizza e vino, located at 122 Washington St., was inspired by a restaurant on the highway between Florence and Siena, a casual pizza place with high quality ingredients and fine wine.
Monday, March 22 at the Norwalk Public Library auditorium:
The Stand vegan restaurant, located at 31 Wall St., is a sunny storefront serving raw vegan food, fresh juices, smoothies, and salads for all ages, including teens and toddlers.
Monday, March 29 at the Norwalk Public Library auditorium:
Coromandel Indian bistro, located at 86 Washington St. , follows a unique blend of spices and diverse styles of cooking from the different Indian states, which has evolved over many centuries.
