Norwalk, CT - The Great Lawns of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum at 295 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT will be brimming with one-of-a-kind merchandise and must-have collectibles Sunday, August 29, 2010, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. when flea market vendors will gather for the museum’s third annual Old-fashioned Flea Market.
This family-friendly market will feature antiques, collectibles, jewelry, household items, furniture, clothing, toys and of course, plenty of bargains. An outstanding collection of classic and antique cars including a 1904 Ford Coupe, a 1924 Model T, a 1931 DeSoto Roadster, and a 1956 Chevrolet, among others, will be on display 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Free admission.
Sponsored in part by Jerry Goldman, (Rye, NY), Owner, Bargold Storage Systems and Patriot National Bank, the LMMM Flea Market will include a three-hour outdoor concert featuring Bob Lasprogato Dixieland Band, and a summer barbecue, courtesy of Stew Leonard’s and Outdoor Cookers. There will be a pizza truck, courtesy of Italia Restaurant, and ice cream, courtesy of Rolling Cones. Additional support will be given by Eagles Club and Royal Flush.
The Lockwood-Mathews Flea Market Committee is still accepting items for the Mansion’s fundraising White Elephant table. The LMMM would appreciate donations of items in good condition such as vintage and new merchandise in the categories listed above. The Mansion will not accept electronics, cameras or books.
