Westy Self Storage recently announced its support of the Pajama Program Donation Drive. Westy Self Storage in Stamford is pleased to host this drive as a designated drop off location for donations.

The Pajama Program is a non-profit organization that provides new pajamas and new books to children who have been taken out of terrible situations at home, usually with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Since its inception in 2001, the organization has provided more than 1 million new pajamas and new books to children across the country, operating 79 chapters in 42 states throughout the United States. Pajama Program’s mission becomes more urgent during the period it identifies as “Danger Season” when the thermostat dips and the harsh winter months settle in. Please help us prepare for the Danger Season by dropping off a donation at Westy Self Storage in Stamford located at 80 Brownhouse Road, two blocks south of I-95, exit 6. Items for collection are limited to new pajamas for boys and girls of all ages and new children’s books. This drive will run through August 15. For more information on the Pajama Program, please visit www.pajamaprogram.org.

“When you see how much a pair of new, clean pajamas and a book for bedtime means to children who have so little, you realize how much comfort this simple gift gives them,” said Genevieve Piturro, Executive Director and Founder of Pajama Program. “We are grateful to Westy Self Storage for their support and enthusiasm!”

Westy is open for drop off 7 days a week. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Call 203-961-8000 or visit www.westy.com for directions. “It is with great pride that we host a donation drive to assist the Pajama Program,” said Tim Mincin, District Director of Westy Self Storage, Stamford location. “No child should go without these basic necessities, especially during such a difficult time in their lives.”
