Pitney Bowes Management Services, Inc. (PBMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) today announced that it has been named to The Black Book of Outsourcing’s 2008 “50 Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors” list.

PBMS placed in the highest ten percent of all firms judged in each survey area: C-Level Commitment, Human Capital Performance, Corporate Direction and Leadership Impact. Rankings are based strictly on responses from client surveys.

“We are honored to be selected among the top 50 best managed global outsourcing vendors and proud that this decision was based solely on the feedback from our customers,” said Vincent De Palma, executive vice president and president, PBMS. “With operations on-site at more than 1,600 customer locations worldwide, we are committed to providing customers with a high level of service and value to help them control costs, optimize their business processes, and grow – through our on-site operations, our best site services, and our higher value, technology-enabled solutions.”

For eight weeks each Spring, Brown-Wilson Group, authors of The Black Book of Outsourcing, surveys outsourcing users and C-level officers to gain a buy-side decision maker perspective on the global services industry. After a stringent external auditing process, the client experience responses of nearly 24,000 buyer executives determined the 2008 Black Book of Outsourcing rankings.

Scott Wilson, partner, Brown-Wilson Group and co-author of The Black Book of Outsourcing, stated that, “PBMS ranked among the top suppliers due to its continuous focus on client satisfaction in mail, print and document management services, and successfully engaging and managing outsourcing relationships as recognized by their actual clients.”

Developed in 2004, the Brown-Wilson Group annual study is recognized as the only independent industry standard for customer satisfaction in the global services industry. Over half of the respondents are gathered from CXO-level and governance respondents.
