STAMFORD – The 11th Annual St. Cecilia Golf & Tennis Classic will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, at Sterling Farms Golf Course in Stamford. All proceeds from this fundraising event will be donated to the St. Cecilia Home School Association (HSA), an organization run by the parents of St. Cecilia School. Mike Magarian, chairman for the event, expects to have 200 people participate. Several activities are planned including: an 18-hole scramble golf tournament on Fairfield County’s best public course; an open tennis tournament; and a 2-hour beginner golf lesson. The option to attend only the buffet lunch and raffle is also offered. All activities are open to both men and women. “We are still accepting sponsors as well as prizes for the raffle” Magarian says. “This is an important event which helps us provide a greater experience for the children of St. Cecilia School. We are grateful for all those who have participated in the past and welcome new sponsors and players.” The golf tournament begins with a check-in breakfast starting at 7:00 am, followed by a 7:45 am shotgun start. The tennis tournament and beginner golf lessons will both begin at 10:00 am. All participants are invited to the full buffet lunch, beginning at approximately 12:30 pm, which will include prizes and an exciting raffle. The golf tournament and beginner golf lesson entry fee is $150 per player. The tennis tournament entry fee is $75 per player. To join us for lunch-only will cost $50 per person.
