Televersemedia has just put the finishing touches on the pilot episode of Throwdown Fishing for the Travel Channel. Premiering Thursday, March 5th at 11 PM EST. The program is an hour-long docu-reality show that pits host, Captain Matty Tambor, well-known Miami tournament fisherman, and his crew "Team 305," against team "Scatterbrain" in the waters just off of Bimini, Bahamas.
Long considered one of the top game fishing spots in the world, Bimini provides the backdrop as Captain Matty and his crew compete in a highseas duel to win the fishing contest and much coveted bragging rights.
Viewers join both teams as they search for prize catches including: dolphin, kingfish, giant grouper, snapper and the feared bull shark. Shot entirely in HD, Throwdown Fishing follows the action from every angle as crews brave storms, equipment failures, and clashing personalities in their attempt to win this grueling showdown.
